George or (Mickey) as he was fondly called by friends and teammates is noted throughout the storied football history of Michigan State as "the greatest football player" ever to don the Green and White. As a former teammate of Mickey's, I am blessed with the opportunity to have played along the same sidelines with the "Great One", a term attributed only to those chosen few who inspired a team with immense potential to become one of the most celebrated programs in collegiate athletics through his "God given abilities" to motivate each of us as players to bring "something to the table" when confronting an opponent in view of an arduous schedule.
As former teammates, we honor his legacy by supporting the Webster scholarship fund which will help provide an opportunity for an education for many of our future aspiring leaders that I am sure George would be very proud of.
On behalf of our entire "special" group of guys who played with Mickey, thanks for the memories and a job well done.
